Welcome to the Commission on Jewish Education & Leadership (CJEL) of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford!

CJEL’s mission is to assure the continuity of a vibrant Jewish people in Greater Hartford through quality and innovative Jewish education for learners of all ages. CJEL facilitates, convenes and coordinates Jewish education initiatives, taking a community-wide perspective, to promote collaboration and growth -- making CJEL the community’s Jewish education resource.

CJEL is dedicated to helping individuals, day schools, congregational schools, Jewish early childhood programs and organizations provide the best possible Jewish educational opportunities and experiences for their constituents.

Rules:

  • Download and complete the Jewish Summer Book Club form here.
  • Read SIX age-appropriate Jewish books between July 1 and August 30, 2010.
  • Mail back the form with a parent’s signature to:  Koopman Library, 335 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT 06117, OR email the form to sfried@jewishhartford.org.
